Golf bags come in all shapes, sizes, looks and purposes. Some are lightweight carry bags; others are huge, custom bags that weigh a ton and take up your entire trunk of your car.
If you're an avid golfer, you've been through a few golf bags in your lifetime. I'll bet on the average of a new one every two years. For some of you, every year! Golf bag technology is getting better and better. The bags are getting lighter, but at the same time, able to hold more accessories and still protect your clubs.
It's a heated battle for top position. With companies like Nike (and their billions of dollars), Titleist and Callaway, it's tough for the smaller companies to compete. But us golfers have strong loyalties to our golf brands don't we.
How many of you still have a Ping carry bag? I had several, then moved onto another brand and style. Some golfers keep the brands the same for everything they've got. So if it's Callaway clubs, it's Callaway golf bag, hat, shirts and even golf balls.
Also, depending on your style of golf (walking or cart) you'll have different types of bags. There are stand bags, carry bags, cart golf bags, pull cart bags, full on staff bags, and many other types.
It can be a bit overwhelming to decide on what golf bag you'll choose, so you may want to seek out golf bag advice from your local pro or by reading reviews on the web.
With the cost being anywhere from $100 up to several hundred, you want to make sure you are making the right decision. You'll be very connected to this bag if you play and practice a couple times a week!
